TOILETMILES PAPERALDRIDGE
Exhibition: 31 March–17 April 2025 • London

S otheby's is thrilled to bring the world of British photographer Miles Aldridge to our London New Bond Street galleries, showcasing his most striking photographs – vivid, cinematic and meticulously composed. Known for his hyper-saturated palettes and enigmatic subjects, Aldridge has developed an editorial style that is both couture and chromatic but also surreal. He is influenced by the films of Federico Fellini and David Lynch and the photography of Richard Avedon, as well as the album covers and book designs created by his father, Alan Aldridge.

As one of Aldridge’s own inspirations, David Lynch, once said of his work:

“Miles sees a color-coordinated, graphically pure, hard-edged reality.”

Available for sale, these works affirm Aldridge’s place in contemporary visual culture – bold, provocative and unforgettable.

“We have long admired Miles’s work — his unique vision and the way he transforms reality into a hyper-real, captivating world. Collaborating with him was an opportunity to merge our creative worlds and witness what could emerge from the encounter between his vivid colors and our visual language. Every collaboration is an experiment, and working with Miles was a constant source of surprise.”
Maurizio Cattelan
